Machining Workshop – CMM CNN Training By Mitutoyo

The Machining department of the Eastern Townships School Board is hosting a series of six trainings on the CMM CNN machine.
General Objective:  Acquire new work and teaching methods.

Specific Objective:  Learning how the new software works, how to program a CMM CNN machine, how to troubleshoot, etc.

Activity Content:  Training with new software on machines as per the new program.
The trainings will take place at the Brome Missisquoi Campus, 180 rue Adélard-Godbout, Cowansville, Quebec J2K 3X9 on the following dates:

November 17, 2022
November 18, 2022
December 20, 2022
January 10, 2023
February 6, 2023
March 13, 2023

The six trainings will run from 8:30am to 3:30pm for a total of 36 hours of training.

Participants must attend all sessions(as it’s cumulative knowledge).

The Brome Missisquoi Campus owns two CMM machines.  It was suggested that no more than three people work on these machines a time, therefore the workshop is for a maximum of six teachers.

The Mitutoyo technician suggested having the training two days back to back and then one training per month in order for teachers to try on their own and practice their new skills.

We will reserve a place for two teachers from each centre to attend.  The deadline for registration is November 11, 2022.

If you would like to participate in the training, please fill in the registration form, have it signed by your director, and return to Shelley Smythe at vtinservice@nfsb.qc.ca.
