EPC-VT September 🍎 Meeting Summary

Hello everyone!
Welcome!  Here is a summary of our first EPC-VT Circle meeting of 2025-26: We kicked things off with a warm welcome and a quick round of housekeeping, reminding all members to review EPC-VT’s shared documents, complete the meeting dates and contact sheets, and confirm mailing list subscriptions. We shared resource links for information about MEQ evaluations, and registration for the 9th Journée pédagogique nationale en FP (Nov. 14, online) and informed the network of the TREAQ pedagogical models tool for program delivery options. The Kativik school board will be building a new centre and is looking for insights around design to accommodate culinary, health and esthetics programs. One centre was looking for information on the roll out of the new Automotive Repair Program.
We briefly discussed the two provincial projects – WOW by Lucie Tremblay at SEC that supports collaboration for teacher-lead initiatives to destigmatize using technology in the classroom, and Unlocking Impact, by Robin Long at PROCEDE, that focuses on pedagogical tool development and VT teacher digital literacy, and encouraged VT Centres, pedagogical consultants and VT teachers to reach out to the project leads for more information. Â
Group work on our group’s goals will continue next session as we align centre goals and explore a shared overarching focus. Finally, we prepped for the Book Club vote—we invite you to vote by Sept. 23 and join the draw on at 12:00 on Sept. 24!
We will have an informal gathering during the PROCEDE conference and our next official meeting will be online on Tuesday, October 14 from 13:00 -15:00.
Thanks for your interest in EPC-VT Circle!
