EPC-VT November 🥧 meeting

Hello everyone!

In this meeting, we welcomed representatives of the redesigned BVE program, which now emphasizes meaning, accessibility, and full online delivery for teachers across the province. The program stands as a distinct offering with its own course codes, bilingual descriptions, and 293 active students. Applications for the January 2026 cohort remain open. To enter, we must hold a DVS, and additional prior learning may lead to RAC credits. Education from another province requires an MEQ comparative evaluation.

We discussed the structure of experiential learning credits, including portfolios, PPMs, and PPPs, along with expectations for project approval, workload, and the flexibility to develop ongoing or larger projects. The program is conceived as a living process that values teacher voice in shaping learning. A new conference now allows first-year students to observe research projects from those completing the program. We were encouraged to propose enhancements or request information sessions.

We also explored centre-initiated PPMs, strategies for onboarding new teachers, program availability questions, upcoming symposium opportunities, and issues related to exams, including coordination with BIM and MEQ contacts. Finally, we worked on our group goals by discussing intersections across centres and established next steps for planning, and we discussed the functioning of this year’s book club.

Our next meeting will be online on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 13:00-15:00.

Thank you for your interest in EPC-VT Circle!
