EPC-VT May 🌹meeting summary

Hello everyone!

At our May 20 EPC-VT meeting, we shared program administration and evaluation updates, explored a teacher-made pedagogical tool, and learned about an approach to professional development used by the individualised instruction working group of l’Observatoire de la FP.Ā  We received clarification around the LPN program teacher:student ratios as suggestive, not prescriptive, with follow-up on the source for next session.Ā  It was confirmed that the MEQĀ  is now covering BIM access fees for all school boards.Ā  We also advanced our efforts to support summative evaluation in BIM-PROCEDE by preparing a letter and sample exam list to present at the next PROCEDE meeting. The non-official English version of the DEP Heavy Equipment exams is shared with the group.

We were treated to two guest presentations that sparked great discussions.Ā  Our first guest shared a studentĀ  tracking tool tailored to automechanics, designed to support skill visibility and assessment in team-based learning environments.Ā  Our other guests introduced a co-development model for individualized instruction that helps teachers reflect on challenges and co-create solutions through structured peer dialogue. We wrapped with conversations about succession planning, the year-end report, and set the date for our final book club meeting on June 9.Ā

Our next and last meeting of the year will be on Tuesday, June 17 at 13:00.Ā  See you then!
