EPC-VT Circle March🍀 Meeting Summary

Hello everyone!
We started by welcoming new members and sharing useful resources. A planned presentation on a student tracking tool in auto mechanics was postponed until next meeting. Updates on TechnoFAD funding highlighted challenges, but monies for this year are assured. Discussions covered how school boards are using Accroche-toi Ă la FP-FGA funds, updates on DVS budget simulation tools, and news from MEQ regarding various vocational programs, including LPN, IHCA, auto mechanics, and EV tech. We explored the Framework for Educational Consulting, upcoming conferences like the Education Grad Symposium (free!) and Concordia’s AI Summer Institute, and ongoing projects such as the Voc Talk CafĂ© promo and an online conference on individualized instruction. We shared updates on a work-study student tracking tool along with discussions on a pilot project for creating pedagogical materials in Automated Systems Electromechanics. Concerns were raised about translation delays and changes to evaluation materials without proper consultation. Finally, a reminder to submit PROCEDE conference proposals by March 31.Â
We set meeting dates for the book club, the branding & mission group, and decided to put the automechanics pedagogical material working group on hold until we have more information about the new program. We will welcome guests to our upcoming group meetings. Here are the details:
