EPC-VT Circle December 🏔 meeting

Hello everyone!

During our Housekeeping, we checked on key resources, including the consultant contact sheet and future meeting dates, and initiated a discussion on creating a back-up plan for cancelled sessions. The Round Table provided several important updates. We shared the success of the Indigenous Adult Education Network Symposium and the upcoming availability of its resources. We also received an update on the Unlocking Impact project and discussed potential accommodations for VT students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). A new asynchronous question space was proposed for our contact at BIM, which led to a detailed clarification on ministerial exams for the Carpentry program, confirming the withdrawal of one exam and providing guidance on required documentation.

Our Group Work session focused on setting key objectives for the 2025-2026 year, centered on professional development and student success. We gelled around developing a structured onboarding process for pedagogical consultants. Finally, our Book Club provided a spirited discussion on the first chapters of our reading material, reflecting on its practical application to vocational training and wrapping up with a reflection on the concept of “cultural humility.” 

Our next online meeting will be on January 20, 2026 from 13:00-15:00.
